Nominations are OPEN! Tagset here!
They will close: Wednesday 01 Feb - 11:59 PM CST
(What time is it right now in CST/CDT?)
I can't wait to see what you guys nominate!
Gudelines!
UPDATE: When doing group nominations, please put the characters in alphabetical order via surname.
From the rules:
Nominating:
You will be allowed to nominate 1-4 fandoms, and 1-5 single characters/groups per fandom.
Both single character and group nominations are permitted. We will be using the relationship field, so the nomination format is such:
Fandom: Fandom Name
Solo: Character Name (Fandom)
Character 1/Character 2 (Fandom) - You may nominate up to 4 people in a group nomination (single characters only, for example no Rita Repulsa/Power Rangers). Use / for romantic/sexual relationships and & for gen or platonic relationships. If a group has named canonical characters you must use those existing named canonical characters and not offer or nominate oc versions. (Rupert Giles instead of 'Original Watcher or The Watchers' in Buffy)
Crossovers of eligible fandoms should be nominated under the fandom label Crossover Fandom and should be formatted as:
Fandom: Crossover Fandom
Character 1 (Fandom)/Character 2 (Fandom)
Eligible Fandoms for Crossovers: Each fandom you nominate as part of a crossover must be an eligible 90s television show. However, those characters or that show does not need to be nominated individually in the rest of the tagset. It may be nominated only in your crossover tag.
You are allowed to nominate groups including those without named individual members in this category as well as individual characters. So instead of Giles (Buffy)/Joe Dawson (Highlander) you may instead choose Watchers (Buffy) & Watchers (Highlander). You may not nominate more than 4 characters or groups in a single relationship tag.
Original characters and worldbuilding:
Original characters are not to be nominated but you are allowed to suggest them in your signup or letter.
Worldbuilding is allowed as a character tag nomination. It should be formatted as Solo: Worldbuilding (Fandom) - it is not allowed under Crossover Fandom. This is permissible for all fandoms and I will leave it up to the discretion of the nominators. You may find it best to apply this tag where there's more fantastical elements at play.
Anthology Shows: Shows such as Outer Limits and Tales from the Crypt featured self-contained stories in their episodes. Please nominate anthology shows as individual fandoms by episode using the format, Show: Episode Name. Example: Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Tale of the Phantom Cab

I swear I'm not trying to be annoying or go against the spirit of the exchange here! I have a personal database of media that includes original airdates, and one of the collections I have is "any show that had any episode that aired in X decade." I was surprised to see Miami Vice in the 90s collection, since it seems so quintessentially 80s, thus my question.

And misspelled nominations in That '70s Show
Jackie Burkhardt/Michael Kelso (That '70s Show) should be Jackie Burkhart/Michael Kelso (That '70s Show)
Solo: Jackie Burkhardt (That '70s Show) should be Solo: Jackie Burkhart (That '70s Show)

Date: 2023-01-26 05:32 pm (UTC)Promo this fest on the Fandomcalendar and/or Fandom-on-dw communities?
Date: 2023-01-26 02:51 pm (UTC)I believe they're the main DW fanwork-event-promo communities, with very wide visibility for DW users. Both have suggested (not required!) promo templates on their profiles for folks who like templates.
(I mention it because I found out about this fest only last night, and I see that you've been here all month!)
Good luck!

Date: 2023-01-28 03:27 pm (UTC)Fandom: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? (TV 1991)
Relationship: The Chief/Greg Lee (WITWICS?)
Other relationships in the fandom were accepted so I was just wondering if the issue is that Greg Lee is the game show's IRL host? It's an unusual case because the actor's real name is also the name of his character inside the world of the show, in which he's introduced at the beginning of each episode as the "Special Agent in charge of training new recruits", working for the Chief of ACME to help the 'detectives' (the kid contestants) catch Carmen Sandiego. He interacts with the Chief both on video during the trivia rounds and by going into her office to banter and discuss the episode's case, and she calls him Greg or sometimes Gregory.
